The Prefect Meoli, pending the dissolution by the President of the Republic, has suspended the City Council Vietri sul Mare and appointed the Commissioner in the person of Dr. Prefecture. Raffaele Cannizzaro, Vice Prefect of the Vicar of this Prefecture. The measure dissolvers has become necessary because of the resignation of more than half of the directors of the institution, on October 21, 2008. The Commissioner of the prefect, who was granted the powers available to the council, the council and the mayor, shall hold office until the next elections in 2009
